MAKE UP SESSIONS CAN BE COMPLETED WEDNESDAYS BETWEEN 9 AND NOON OR SAT BETWEEN 10 A.M. AND 1:00 P.M.

THE CORE OF THE SUMMER PROGRAM IS ICON Strength and Conditioning which is an open gym format under the supervision of ICON coaches. Athletes/Members will be trained on the course outline below tailored to their respective training phase and level.

ATHLETIC ESSENTIALS

Develop balance, flexibility and strength in the joints mastering functional movement patterns. Strengthen the core, hips, lower back and abs.

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH

Learn to incorporate loads into the functional movement patters. Increase strength, endurance and overall fitness level.

STRENGTH ESSENTIALS

Barbell/Dumbbell basics- load training incorporating basic movements like squats, deadlifts, bench press, overhead press and rows. Reduce risk of injury and learn how to avoid common mistakes in the weight room.

IN ADDITION TO THE CORE ICON Strength and Conditioning Summer Session Members can participate in SPORTS SPECIFIC/ SMALL GROUP TRAINING at no additional cost which includes:

DRIVELINE VELOCITY/ ARM-CARE

(45-60 minute sessions/3x per week)

*Driveline Baseball & Crossover Symmetry have each designed specific training programs targeted at developing shoulder and arm
strength while reducing the risk of injury. Through the use of proprietary equipment like weighted balls and resistance bands;
these methods have been proven to increase velocity in throwing in addition developing strength. Designed to give a young athlete the
proper warm-up and recovery drills to help them achieve their highest potential and sustain their abilities and health for the
entirety of their careers.*

FOCUS:
1.) Teach consistent warm-up and recovery habits
2.) Teach good throwing habits
3.) Facilitate a love of baseball through body development and training
Teaching them good recovery habits, the importance of being physically strong, and throwing efficiently will pay big dividends. But
that is simple to do—it just requires execution year-in and year-out.

Classes scheduled Tuesday, Thursday from 9:00A.M. -Noon Saturday @ 9:00 A.M.

BARBELL BASICS/ OLYMPIC LIFTING:

Designed to teach proper and effective use of the barbell in squats, the deadlift, presses, and all their variations so the student athlete can reach the next level.
Introduction to Olympic Weightlifting: Teaching the student athlete how to increase their speed, power, strength, and flexibility through the clean, jerk, and snatch. These lifts when taught properly not only develop explosive strength, but also increase jumping ability and sprinting speed.

AGILITIES/ SKILLS:

Dynamic warm-up, basic skills & agilities training emphasizing gate mechanics and form enhancement.

Employing sleds, plyometrics and various forms of dynamic foot work with bands and resistance.
